Week 10 - New Literacies

A bit late but finally done...

Jing seems like an awesome tool, unfortunately it kept freezing up my (older) laptop so I used it to capture the images of my PowerPoint slides and add some highlighting features and then put it together in Windows Movie Maker and uploaded it to YouTube. Here it is...

  1. The point that you made about how digital technology is perceived as a source of distraction by teachers is very true. There are educators who feel the pressure of standardized testing and therefore they are not ready or feel they do not have time to explore and implement technologies.But the younger generation of teachers seem to be making it easier for a lot of the older teachers by bringing in their innovative ideas in technology into their respective departments.

    1. I think when new teachers actually are paired with older teachers as mentors, a great relationship can develop that benefits both of the teachers and their students!

I love how you showed your students the new literacies needed in future workforce to encourage their use of technology as cognitive tools to enhance their learning and communication. Your narrated presentation can be the tutorial to introduce new literacies to your collegues. Great job as always!!! :D
